There are many different techniques involved and as no two trees are the same, we will use lowering ropes, pulleys and friction brakes to safely control every stage of the operation. Our methods are always flexible, adapting our knowledge, skills and experience to suit the task in hand.
When trees are felled or removed, their stumps are often best removed as well to prevent suckering and regrowth. Large and heavy, stumps can be removed with our specialist stump grinding equipment. The woody material of the stump is reduced to wood shavings that can remain on the ground as a natural mulch. The process is effective and has very little impact on surroundings.
We are an environmentally friendly company and ensure that any material produced from our operations is disposed of responsibly. Any timber is taken back to our premises to be processed into firewood and any brash is put through our woodchip on site. The woodchip is then transported back to our premises to be collected for use in the biomass industry.
We are sensitive to nature and always work with conservation in mind. We ensure where we can we protect birds and bats, especially at nesting time (March-September). We fully adhere to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
